Commercial Waste Collections

North Norfolk District Council offers businesses recycling and residual waste collection services from as little as £4.10 per collection.

Recycling

As long as you don’t have another contractor collecting your residual waste, NNDC can provide a recycling collection at competitive rates.

We currently accept the following materials for recycling:

      • paper (not shredded)
      • cardboard
      • tins
      • cans
      • empty aerosol cans
      • plastic bottles.

We can supply a green coloured bin free of hire charge and can empty it at least once every fortnight.  If you don't have room for a bin or don't produce much recyclable waste, we also offer a recycling collection using sacks.

Residual Waste

We can also offer a residual waste collection service with a variety of bin sizes or sacks to best suit your needs. The frequency of emptying needs to be determined at the start of your contract – however we can provide, on request, specialist advice to aid your estimation of bin size and emptying frequency.

 

Please note that we are not able to collect liquid waste, oil, animal by-product waste, industrial waste, agricultural waste, poisonous or noxious waste.

 

All our waste collection charges are outside of the scope for VAT and our bin collection service includes the cost of providing you a Waste Transfer Note that helps you to meet your legal obligations under Duty of Care legislation.

 

If your business is used as self-catering holiday accommodation with a rateable value of less than £12,000 or is a caravan or camping site with a rateable value of less than £12,000, or a charity shop selling donated household goods, a place of worship or a premises used mainly for public meetings (e.g. village hall), please view our Commercial Waste and Recycling Leaflet below for service information along with the relevant charges:

Businesses with living accommodation

If your business premises incorporate living accommodation (e.g. public houses), domestic collections will be made for waste and recycling from the living accommodation only. You will require a separate trade waste contract to remove and dispose of the waste generated by your business.
