The Town Ambition Programme (TAP) has been developed to deliver support for local projects, driving footfall and dwell time in town centres and improving resident and visitor experiences within retail and commercial centres in North Norfolk. It will involve working with local businesses and community organisations to identify and deliver projects that foster local economic growth and support the vitality of our towns.
The Town Ambition Programme grants are available, with a minimum of £5,000, and business applicants can receive up to 50% of approved expenditure. Grants for non-business applicants (such as community groups) are up to 75% of approved expenditure.
Projects must deliver tangible, place-based improvements and show impact. Projects will be asked to demonstrate measurable outputs and be expected to show at least one of the following:

This new, free programme for independent retailers is aimed at supporting their role as key players on the High Street. It includes six workshops on planning, financial literacy, pricing, marketing, merchandising, and customer service. The first 12 retailers to complete the course will receive a grant of £500 to support their new skills and to invest in their business.
