How will I receive my payment?
You will receive a letter from the Post Office which contains a barcode. Take this letter to the post office along with proof of ID, and you will receive the cash payment.
What ID do I need to take?
You will need to take one of the following IDs to any post office:
- valid passport
- valid UK or EU photo driving licence
- up to date paid utility bill showing your name and address
What if I don’t have a paper copy of a utility bill?
Download your latest utility bill on your phone and show this to a staff member at the post office.
What happens if I don’t have the correct ID?
You can ask someone to collect your payment for you. Make sure it is someone you trust. They must bring your letter, your ID and their ID with them to the post office.
How long do I have to collect my payment?
You have one month from the date of the letter.
What happens if I don’t collect my payment in time?
The voucher will expire, and you will be unable to collect the payment. We will contact you to ensure you have enough money for your energy and food bills.
What if I am unable to collect the payment myself?
If you cannot visit a post office, you can ask someone to collect your payment. Make sure it is someone you trust. They must take your letter, your ID and their ID with them to the post office.
