Prepare your property for flooding
The Environment Agency (EA) recommends that permanent measures are put into place in areas susceptible to flooding, such as flood boards. Please see this EA leaflet for advice and guidance to householders.

Flood Insurance for your property
It is highly recommended that you fully insure your property against flooding, further information can be found about the Government Scheme Flood Re.
Environment Agency flood warnings

We do not provide sand bags
Sand bags are not fully effective and are not the best form of flood protection.

Sand bags and other flooding protection equipment is available on line from many national stockist and at most good hardware/builders merchants locally. These will usually be supplied empty and will require an addition purchase of the sand.
