We have a responsibility to regularly review and assess air quality within north Norfolk. The purpose of this assessment is to determine those areas where air quality objectives are being breached.
Where we believe that objectives are in exceedance, and members of the public are adversely affected, we declare the area an ‘air quality management area’ and prepare action plans to resolve the situation. More detail about this process can be found on the GOV.UK air quality web pages.
We prepare and submit reports to DEFRA on an annual basis.
