Background Evidence
Evidence that supports the Emerging Local Plan
The Planning Policy Team uses information from a variety of sources to monitor, review and to formulate planning policies. The policies and proposals of the new Local Plan must be based on robust, proportionate and credible evidence in order for the Plan to be considered ‘sound’.
A number of studies and reports have been prepared either by the Council, or external consultants where appropriate, in order to provide this evidence.
The document library provides a list of current adopted Development Plan Documents and a list of publications available to support the emerging Local Plan.
