Under the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations, we are consulting on the Draft Holt Neighbourhood Plan submission version.

View the formal notice of consultation.

Consultation description

Comments are welcome on the content of the draft and should focus on whether or not the plan proposal fulfils the basic conditions. These are the tests that the examiner has to apply before the Plan can move to the next stage (public referendum). The government's Neighbourhood Planning page has further details and guidance.

The consultation takes place between Monday 10 October 2022 and Monday 21 November 2022.

Next stages

After the consultation, all comments received will be given to the examiner to consider as part of the examination process. If the examiner approves the Plan, the next stage is to put the Plan, along with the examiner's recommendations, to a public referendum. If accepted, the Council must make the draft Neighbourhood Plan within eight weeks after the referendum.

Once the Neighbourhood Plan is made, it will form part of the district-wide planning framework. It will become a material consideration (meaning it must be taken into account) for future planning applications in the Holt Neighbourhood area.

Further information and dates will be published as they become available.
