Mammoth Marathon FAQs
If you have any questions please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
When will the Mammoth Marathon 2022 take place?
The full and half marathons will take place on Sunday 15 May 2022. Both races start at 9.30am
I had a place for the original event. Is this still valid?
Yes, any entries secured previously are valid for this year’s event and have been automatically rolled over.
Is there somewhere I can read the race rules?
Race rules are available on our website.
Will the roads be closed?
We will close roads at both starts, which will reopen once the races have started. The rest of the course will remain open throughout
I have a place in the full marathon. Can I transfer to the half marathon?
The two races are treated as separate events, and therefore, we cannot transfer from one to another. To swap from one event to the other would involve transferring your current place to another runner and then finding someone wishing to transfer their place to you for your preferred option.
Can I defer my place until next year or request a refund?
Unfortunately, we cannot defer places to the 2023 marathon, and places are not refundable. We offered a refund for several months following the postponement and kept transfers open as long as possible. Transfers and refunds are no longer available so that we can confirm details and get race packs and coach transfers finalised.
Is there transport available from the finish line back to the start?
Bookings for participant's coach transfer from the end of the race to the start line of each race have now closed to allow us to finalise coach hire. Public transport is limited, and the nearest railway stations are Sheringham and Cromer. Visit Getting around North Norfolk (visitnorthnorfolk.com) for public transport options.
When will I get my race pack?
Race packs have been posted and include all the details you need for the race and your race number.
Is there a medal for taking part in this event?
Yes, everyone taking part will receive a medal and goody bag at the finish.
Where can I see the route?
The mammoth marathon route map shows you the route, as well as start and finish maps.
Where, when and what is the finishing village?
The finish village for both races will be at Sheringham High School on Holt Road, Sheringham, NR26 8ND. It will be open for spectators from 9.30am until 4pm. There will be a selection of trade and refreshment stalls, some activities, music and post-race services. View the race booklet for more detail about the finish village.
Will there be parking for the public at the finish village?
No, to access the finish village, spectators will need to use one of the local car parks in Sheringham and walk to the village at the High School (approx. 15mins). Details of these will be in your race booklet.
