North Norfolk District Council has published its budget consultation for the 2022-23 financial year.

The Council has undertaken a Zero Based Budgeting exercise to realign its budgets to its Corporate Plan priorities and we are seeking residents’ and ratepayers’ views on how this has been done using an online budget consultation tool.

Respondents can use the tool to amend budgets and see the consequences of each change, and there is space to provide comments. The results of the tool can be submitted to the NNDC Finance team at the end of the process.

Cllr Eric Seward, Portfolio Holder for Finance and Assets said:

“Consulting residents and ratepayers on the District Council's budget for the next financial year is an important part of the budget-making process. Therefore, the Council hopes that through using the new online budget tool, people will be able to see the consequences of making amendments to budgets when making their comments”.

The 2022/23 budget will be agreed at Full Council in February 2022.

The consultation closes on 14th January 2022.
