Sheringham Christmas Market will take place on Saturday December 9
On Saturday, December 9 the Council is holding a Christmas-themed market in addition to its regular Saturday Market at Station Approach Car Park in Sheringham.
The market will be open from 8am until 3:30pm and will feature a variety of traders. These traders will include arts and crafts, food and drink, jewellery, ceramics and health products.
The Sheringham Christmas Market is a great way to support the local economy by purchasing gifts or presents from independent or smaller local businesses this holiday season.
Buying from a local business, whether a shop, market stall or charity shop, supports them more than you might imagine - for every £1 spent with a small or medium-sized business, 63p stays in the local economy!
Small local businesses are the largest employers nationally – supporting local businesses supports local jobs.
Cllr Liz Withington, portfolio holder for Community, Leisure and Outreach said:
“Sheringham Market is an important and valued part of the Town - it is a great draw to the town with people regularly visiting from a considerable distance away. It is great the number of regular stalls is increasing and new events such as the Christmas Market are coming forward. Sheringham Town centre as an independent high street is vibrant and interesting and the market plays an important role in supporting the town.
I appreciate how important it is we support both our markets and independent local businesses for the whole community so would like to thank officers and the Market traders for supporting this new innovative approach.”
