The Biodiversity Duty Report is a statutory duty that requires all public authorities to report on their approach to actively conserve and enhance biodiversity when carrying out their work. It also legally requires them to publish their actions to meet biodiversity net gain obligations.
2022 to 2025 report
The North Norfolk District Council Biodiversity Duty Report 2022 to 2025 covers:
- Section 1: the Council's approach to conserving and enhancing biodiversity within the stated reporting period, in relation to its strategies, policies, objectives, and actions for biodiversity.
- Section 2: reflects on the projects and actions that will continue to deliver direct and indirect biodiversity enhancements during the next three-year reporting period.
- Section 3: the Council's actions to meeting biodiversity net gain obligations.
- Section 4: consideration of the monitoring tools that will continue to be used to track and report on biodiversity conservation and enhancement.
The North Norfolk Council Biodiversity Duty Report 2022 to 2025 was endorsed at Cabinet on 9 March 2026.
The reporting period for the next Biodiversity Duty Report will be three years, from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2028.
