The Society for Local Council Clerks website contains a wealth of information and support for new clerks. Representing clerks to over 5,000 councils in England and Wales, they provide the necessary training, advice and support for town and parish clerks to promote best practices within the sector. 

National Association of Local Councils (NALC)

The National Association of Local Councils is the only national body representing the interests of 10,000 local (parish and town) councils in England. NALC works in partnership with county associations to support, promote and improve local councils.
