The Community Connectors work across North Norfolk, informing people about voluntary and statutory support available to them as well as championing the work our fantastic community groups do.

How can the Community Connectors help?

We're about letting people know what support is available. That might be from a voluntary group (perhaps a local community lunch, parent and toddler group or dementia support), charity (maybe a wellbeing walk, bereavement support or foodbank) or statutory support (such as housing, financial inclusion or social prescribing services).

If you run a community group, we can help you find funding and provide ideas on recruiting volunteers and promoting your work.

Community Connectors Poppyland Radio

Our radio show

The Community Connectors radio show airs every Monday at 3pm. Each show is themed, and all previous shows are available for listening on demand.

We've covered topics such as support for veterans, mental health, domestic abuse, loneliness and isolation, transport, young people, cost of living, volunteering and much more!

In May 2023, we held our first PositiviTea events across the district. PositiviTea provides an opportunity for people to find out about the support provided by community groups and statutory organisations in a relaxed, non-judgemental place.
