Commenting on an application

Many of the applications will undergo a period of consultation. It includes consultation with specific organisations, bodies and experts depending on the application made. Part of this consultation includes inviting comments from members of the public who may support or have concerns about the application.

Public consultation expiry dates

In most cases, the consultation period is 21 days, but it can vary. Consultation expiry dates can be checked through the planning public access website by entering the application number and selecting the important dates tab. There may be multiple expiration dates for different types of consultations, such as letters, site notices, and press notices. The latest of these dates will be the final date for receiving comments.
