There are areas within North Norfolk where walking your dog is not permitted. There are other areas where you must keep your dog on a lead.
Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs)
We have a Public Spaces Protection Order in place to deal with dog control issues. The orders outlines expectations on dog owners in North Norfolk with regards to keeping dogs on leads and excluding dogs from specified areas. A copy of the PSPOs is available to view below along with maps outlining the PSPO areas.
Dogs on beaches
As much as we love dogs here in North Norfolk, there are areas during certain times of the year where they are not welcome, or where they must be walked on a lead. These apply between 1 May and 30 September inclusive and details can be found below.
