As a rural county, we can all enjoy the benefits of the open countryside on our doorsteps. With abundant habitats and wildlife, we have a rich biodiversity and benefit from a beautiful, dynamic coastline.

However, whilst many residents are well aware of the benefits of living here, the district has its challenges, particularly balancing the need to protect our fragile ecosystems and coastline whilst benefiting economically from the thousands of visitors who choose to visit every year.
