The Panels of the North Norfolk Arts & Culture, Community Transport and Sustainable Communities Funds met in November and December whereby grants of over £90,248 were agreed supporting a wide range of community groups and organisations.

The Arts & Culture fund awarded a grant to Musical Keys, an organisation who provide music sessions at the Barrington Farm day services centre, for people with learning disabilities; the grant of £2,498.50 means they can provide up to 46 one-hour sessions for another 12 months.

It also awarded a grant to the Cromer Artspace, who install life-size reproductions of art work from the National Gallery collection to outside art exhibitions, allowing residents to see iconic pieces in North Norfolk. The grant help to deliver 24 reproductions for exhibition around the town.

The Community Transport fund awarded a total of £40,000 to the North Norfolk Community Transport for the continued funding of wheelchair accessible transport to take residents for medically-related appointments and the Dial-a-Ride Service, a door-to-door minibus service from rural villages to local shops and supermarkets.

The Sustainable Communities Fund awarded various grants to local groups for various projects, including electric vehicle charge points, the Cley Harbour Project, Fakenham Sports Centre, church renovations and the Pandora Project.

Applications to the grant funds are welcome all year round and are decided by a panel, which meet
throughout the year.

North Norfolk Sustainable Communities Fund – Monday, 28th February 2022

North Norfolk Arts & Culture and Community Transport Funds - Friday, 25th February 2022.
