Apply for Crisis Resilience Fund Housing Payment
Crisis Resilience Fund Housing Payment (CRFHPs), formerly known as Discretionary Housing Payment (DHP), provides financial support to help with rent or housing costs.
Before applying: check your property is in North Norfolk
We can only take applications from properties located in North Norfolk.
Eligibility
You can apply for a CRFHP if you currently claim either:
- Housing Benefit
- the housing element of Universal Credit and need more financial support with housing costs
We will only award Crisis Resilience Fund Housing Benefits if we are satisfied that you need financial assistance to meet your housing costs. It cannot be awarded against services such as utility bills. Also, they are not designed to support unreasonably high rent charges.
Please note the money that the council can award each year comes directly from central government and is strictly limited.
What if I do not agree with the CRFHP decision?
You cannot formally appeal against our decision not to give a Crisis Resilience Fund Housing Payment. However, you can ask the council to review its decision if you write to us within one month of the date that we tell you that your claim has been refused.
