North Norfolk District Council’s Housing Delivery Incentive Scheme came into effect on 1 September 2013. The scheme introduced a range of temporary measures which were designed to speed up the delivery of approved housing development in the District.

The term 'self-build' is used when somebody obtains a building plot and constructs their own home on it.

A Local Development Order (LDO) grants planning permission for specific developments, meaning that it is not necessary for investors / occupiers to submit planning applications for their proposals.
